Rehabilitation Of Zarqa Triangle Irrigation .

Description:

The scope of work included Site survey and site investigations for area mapping and GIS, demand forecasting, contingency planning, Engineering Design / Hydraulic modelling, water loss control, serviceability of the distribution network, Preparation of detailed design , drawings , bill of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.

The following are the components of the project;

  • Study of installing filters on the main transmission pipeline and the subsidiaries pipelines.
  • Replacement of air vents and the wash outs on the main transmission pipeline.
  • Rehabilitation of the service road with a total length of 5KM.
  • Rehabilitation of ZCIL/ Abu Zeghan pump station.
  • Study of installation of two (2) pumps with capacity of 150 Litter/ Second with 150 m head to irrigate 4,000 Dunom of lands.
  • Water supply distribution network comprised of Primary, secondary and tertiary network pipelines with diameters ranges between 100 mm – 250 mm and a total length of 28 KM.
  • The conveyor trunk line with a diameter of 900 mm and a total length of (14) KM.

RUQN was responsible for designing the hydraulic modelling, water loss control, serviceability of the distribution network, Preparation of detailed designs, drawings, BOQ and tender documents.
