Designing South Wadi Araba Border Crossing .

Description:

The project included the detailed design and the preparation of tender documents to rehabilitate all existing yards and buildings, including the study of the internal traffic of arrivals and departures, the traffic of passengers, vehicles, logistic yards, buildings and all facilities in coordination with the client, and the concerned stakeholders, to find an integrated crossing with all facilities to serve Passengers and vehicles.

Detailed designs were prepared included the rehabilitation for all services, facilities, yards, parking lots, roads, pavements, and all infrastructure works such as; electrical networks, water and sanitation networks. In addition to Asphalt yards and sidewalks, entrances and exits.

Detailed Designs for the new buildings were conducted including passengers’ building, Mosque building, Clinic, Restrooms’ building, Duty Free Shops, Brollies, outdoor seating for arrivals and departures, and Special brollies for security services.

The following buildings were also designed;

  1. Borders’ Guards Building – Two (2) floor building with a total area of 2,100m2
  2. Public Security Building – Three (3) floor building with a total area of 2,160m2
  3. Intelligence building – Two (2) floor building with a total are of 857m2
  4. Focal Point Building – Two (2) floor building with a total area of 455m2

The construction Cost for this project is $ 10.3 Million

 

RUQN was responsible for the Engineering Studies, Detailed Engineering Designs for the new components and to rehabilitate the existing ones and the preparation of tender documents for the project’s various components and elements.
